Villa Moondrop Ubud

Singapadu, Ubud - Bali

Villa Moondrop, Singapadu, Ubud Bali is a relaxing combination of antique and modern. Originally built for a rich village matriarch on Java in 1864, the all-teak “gladak” house has been reconstructed in Bali with modern toilet, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. With a sunset view of the rice terraces and jungle beyond and the sound of the river just in front of the house, you will have everything you need to let your stress slip away.

A short distance off the Celuk main road and one hour from the airport, it is rurally situated midway between several popular tourist areas; it is a few minutes from the Bali Bird Park, 20 minutes from Ubud, 25 minutes from the restaurants along the beach at Sanur, and about 20 minutes from the increasingly famous Green School.

The original, antique area of the house has a raised wooden floor and outdoor porch about 70 cm, above the ground level. A modern, cream-colored marble floor surrounds this central, raised wooden area on the three sides of the house away from the eastern porch entrance.
