Candidasa and surrounding

Candi Dasa is centrally located for many enjoyable tours to the Water Palace, temples, mountain rice terraces, and the majestic volcano, Mt. Agung.

Drivers are readily available nearby. Local boats can take you to the nearby pristine, unspoiled “White Beach,” to the amazing snorkeling in the Blue Lagoon, or to try your luck fishing.

Amlapura, 20 minutes away through scenic mountains, is a picturesque local market town with an ATM and many supplies. Local buses run to this center.

Nearby is the oldest “sacred village” in Bali, Tenganan, where you can experience ancient rituals and watch artisans practice traditional “ikat” weaving.

To the north is Amed, famous for its snorkeling reefs, charming, hidden-away restaurants, and scenic hills and bays.

For its size, the delightful village of Candi Dasa has a surprising variety of restaurants and cuisines: Indian, French, Dutch, Italian, and Australian, as well as coffee bars and laid-back night life!

If your choice is to relax, swim, or enjoy a massage, and then eat at home, we can, if you order ahead, serve you from our house menu. You can also order from or walk to one of the many nearby restaurants. The closest is three doors away, less than 30 seconds, along the beach.

If you wish to visit the island’s cultural center, the village of Ubud, we can arrange transport to our stunning property in peaceful rice fields, Villa Moondrop Ubud, 15 minutes from Ubud.
